We think so!

How many reports, how many consultants, how much more money will it take for them to do their job and do what is statutorily required?

If the report on the Agenda for tomorrow’s meeting doesn’t do your head in then have a read of the appendices and the report from Urban Edge Planning who recommend an “independent” (jeepers where have we heard that word before?) review of the science in the reports done by Jacob’s (which doesn’t comply) and the Waikato Report by Dr de Lange (which does comply).

When is this perpetual merry-go-round ever going to end?

Once again we are putting the call out to attend the Council meeting tomorrow – 9.30am 10th April and support us and CRU and all the people who have been giving it their all to stop this madness!!

In answer to the question. Yes, KCDC is kicking the can down the road.

Why? clearly to get ‘someone’ else “to carry the can” to save them making an unpopular decision, when they have an underlying feeling that CRU & CALM have got it right challenging Jacobs Report and promoting the sound logic of de Lange Report.

Why? Because the 2025 Local Body Elections are coming up, and the ratepayer voter polling trend is looming. If councillors steadfastly promote Jacobs at the end of this exercise, they should be “named” publicly.

the madness will end when a majority of practical people get onto the council and get rid of that CEO and upper level unelected green/labour bureaucrats. We can do it!
